Essex Wedding Photography at Beautiful Mulberry House for Lizzie & Charlie
Lizzie & Charlie make a fantastic couple & we got on really well right from the beginning. I could see right away at our consultation that they had modern taste and an eye for detail which set the scene for the style of photography I wanted to deliver for them. My special wedding ring shot that I create as my first image to them needed to be artistic and something I hadn't done before which also made it unique to them. They loved the outcome and I really enjoyed creating it!
So I had my timeline all set and everything on the day was to take place at the stunning Essex venue - Mulberry house (High Ongar). Set in 22 acres of plush greenery, this venue is very popular among couples looking to wed all year round. There are so many places to explore and almost limitless photo opportunities. I knew I had to get there earlier than our planned start time just to capture the beauty of the venue and its surroundings. These shots make great backdrops for the album and important memories for families in years to come.
We had planned to cover both the bride getting ready in the gorgeous bridal suite & the arrival of the groom looking nervous at noon. The schedule went well and we were able to get all the important moments of the last few hours of Lizzie & Charlie's single lives. There was an exciting buzz around the place as guests arrived and the bridal party added the finishing touches to their stunning attire for the day.
The detailed furnished rooms both up and down stairs at the venue are a photographers dream. Amazing large mirrors, winding staircases, chandeliers & lots of natural daylight coming through the tall windows made for some breathtaking imagery of the bride and her close family.
The ceremony took place just across the pebbled path to the right of the main entrance if you were driving up to the venue. It's cosy and nicely laid out with plenty of light coming from a number of windows. You could feel the inevitable nerves as the couple had to repeat back the vowels from a wonderful registrar. I was informed that I could 'do what ever it takes to get the pictures you need' which is such a refreshing outlook on the proceedings.
I had also been informed at our consultation that they were planning on having a harpist at the wedding and what a great choice this turned out to be. Just the tonic to even out the nervousness felt in the ceremony room. The harp also featured outside on the lawn at the back which entertained the guests while I whisked the couple off to a variety of hotspots I had previously scouted a few days before.
We took some wonderful shots by the pond at the front of the venue, by the wishing well, the back fields bathed in bright sunlight and of course the famous white bridge. I like to offer lots of locations to my couples so they get the most from their day and the venue they chose. I plan meticulously to ensure a smooth process.
The evening reception took place in an incredibly detailed marquee just off towards the back of the venue. The couple really made an impression on everyone attending and included a touching tribute to the brides father. It was a fun evening with guests in high spirits. I had been made to feel welcome right the way through the day which was lovely. I wish Lizzie & Charlie all the best & look forward to staying in touch for the future!
