Craig David makes an appearance on Abbie & Matts wedding day (see how) !!!
Popular Essex wedding venue Crondon park was to be the location for Abbie & Matt to tie the knot during a fresh winters day in December. Our first stop though was the brides parents home in Langdon Hills. I set about photographing the brides details shortly after I arrived which included some gorgeous Jimmy Choo shoes . We even had some christmassy dressed champagne which was a lovely touch to the warm winter feel the house gave off.
So with the details completed, I heard a commotion downstairs and quickly grabbed my camera to capture the scenes. What I discovered was that Abbie (the bride) had just received a video call from none other than Craig David who rang to wish her well. The raw emotions of the bride and all in the room were like gold to a wedding photographer and i'm sure everyone will remember this moment for years to come. Very nice of you David ;)
Now onto the bit I really love to capture. It doesn't happen at every wedding but when the bride can stay out of the way from of any prying eyes, the reaction to the dress can be amazing :). The bridesmaids waiting patiently at the bottom of the stairs until Abbie made her grand entrance. Love this moment!!!
I was very conscious of everyone outside in the cold december weather so soon after the arrival of the bride, we headed into the warmth of the beautiful Essex wedding venue - Crondon Park to start the ceremonial proceedings.
The bride was very emotional and proud walking down the aisle with her dad. When she looked up and saw Matt (the groom) waiting at the alter, the tears flowed. It was a touching moment to capture. Everything went to plan and the couple tied the knot among some of their closest friends and family.
To our amazement shortly after the ceremony, the sun broke through the looming clouds and we were really lucky to get this wonderful hill top sunset image of the couple just a stones through from the venue.
We also had a fishing mad groom who wanted to incorporate his fishing rod into the day in some way. Here's one idea I had to make this happen for him below :)
The couple did really well to deal with the temperatures outside and now it was time to see what the friendly Crondon park staff had achieved for the couple and theirs guests in the reception room. I have been to this venue a number of times and the work they do here never ceases to amaze me. I love coming back here each year as I find it to be well run and beautifully presented.
Even the best man's speech was spot on and everyone enjoyed one of the toughest roles you can do during a wedding day.
The room was swiftly turned around for the evening and it looked great. The bride and groom rocked the centre stage where we saw Abbie's dad join her for their very own dance straight after the main first dance had finished.
The evening wasn't complete without the bouquet throwing. The girls waited for the bride to launch the flowers but I can't help thinking there was one particular lady in mind that wanted to catch this more than any other. her reaction said it all and the moment is certainly memorable. Well done to her and great catch :)
So I look forward to once again visiting Crondon park and sharing some more touching moments with my couples. A big thank you to Abbie and Matt for Hiring my services. I really enjoyed your day and I wish you all the best for the future.
