7 ways to look your best in wedding photos

When it comes to wedding photography, you should take a cue from the pros on how to look your best on your wedding day. All brides have their weird little fears about photographs, but my guide will help you nail those exquisite wedding day shots - even if you have to be a bit cheeky.

Light Things Up

Many brides have no clue how fluorescent lights can turn your skin green or orange. You’ll want the most natural light possible, especially in the room where you are getting ready.

The Pose

If you do opt for portrait shots: keep calm, relax your shoulders and tilt your chin slightly down. The rest of the magic is up to the photographer.

Say No To Awkward Poses

If a pose doesn’t feel natural, don’t do it. As a couple, if you are into joking and cracking one another up - let your photographer know this is what you’re comfortable with. A good photographer will encourage you to be yourself.

Let your personality show through on the day - this is what we all want to see!

Forget the Tricks

Ditch the Cosmo magazine tricks on how to make your body more slender. A lot of your wedding shots will be candid. The more naturally you move and the more comfortable you are in your body, the sleeker you’ll appear.

Practice Makes Perfect

Practice the amazing shots you’ve seen in bridal magazines and those moments will become more intimate. You’ll nail that gorgeous photo in no time & you'll look like a pro on your big day!

See a pose you like? Practice it before the big day to get it spot on. You'll thank yourself when you get the images back!

Say No to Updos

Another reason the test run is so important: You don’t want to look bald and sleek hair can do just that. You’ll know where to add volume and makeup, so your wedding photography is flawless.

The Best Look

A nice bright smile. No matter what, this is the happiest day of your life. Just smile!

Now you're relaxed, you'll be beaming with confidence and those pearly whites will light up your photos
